4.29.2010

This little handsome dude had his 18 mo. well check today. He got 4 shots, but he took them like a champ! And the best part about him getting 4 shots today is that he won't have to get ANY shots at his 2 yr check! wahoo!
I almost fell out of my chair when his dr. told me he's 10th percentile for weight. This kid is a good eater, and I think he's a pretty solid boy. I was even more shocked when she said he shot up like a weed these past 3 months and he's in the 90th percentile for height! Tall man! His head circumference didn't surprise me, he's always been around the 90th percentile.

It broke my heart to watch him get all those shots, so after we went to get a cookie, we picked Sam up from school and all 3 of us played at the park for a long time.

I'm so proud of my little dude. I love you SO MUCH T!! xo.

This morning we had a surprise baby shower for my good friend Kehau. Boy! She was so surprised!! She's having a little girl due at the end of June.

I'm so excited for this little girl to get here! But I'm also pretty bummed that I won't get meet her until we come back from our summer internship in August...
Kehau told me she was pregnant when she was only about 5 weeks along, and that totally seems like yesterday. I can't believe her baby will be here next month!! So crazy!! This year is cruising by.

4.27.2010

Today it snowed...hard...all day. (we were really bummed)
But we still had fun because we played with playdough 3 different times throughout the day. The 1st time, I got it out for T to play with. The 2nd & 3rd times, T got it off of the table, brought it to me and trying to open it said, "elp" (help).

I don't like playdough, I never have. I really don't like the way it smells. (today was the 1st day we've played with the play doh brand, we've only ever made our own) But I'm so happy I put aside my issues with it and got some for T because he loved it. And I decided that it's not so bad, plus I discovered that it's a great tool to teach colors with. T is getting so good at knowing his colors and shapes. He always knows blue, and sometimes he knows purple, green and red. He knows star ("sar"), circle, and square. I'm so proud of my smart little man.

4.26.2010

It rained (poured) all day today. So we had to keep busy inside.
We colored and played with stickers for a long time.

Taylor and Tiffany invited us over to dig through oatmeal for some buried treasures.

(I hope the rain isn't planning on sticking around too long. We really missed playing outside today.)

4.25.2010

Last night Sam and I went out to dinner and a movie. (We went to Date Night...we totally loved it) But anyway, we had a few minutes to kill before the movie so we went to Sears to buy candy at the checkout for cheaper then it would've been at the movies. We came came out of Sears with this sweet tool set for T and no candy. Ha. (nice plan to save some money huh?)

Sam has been looking for a tool set for T for a while now, so we were pretty excited about it. T's been playing with it all day. It worked out well that we found one last night, because today T is 18 months old! I can't believe my baby is a whole year and a half!
So today at church T went to Nursery with the big kids for the first time. He sure loved it.

4.24.2010

Bright and early this morning at 7:30am we met Roo, Lucy and Jack and walked down to our church for their Spring Fun Run activity.

T of course loved all the balloons, and was loving clapping and cheering for all the 5K runners as they came in.

After we cheered for all the runners, we went with the walkers on a mile long walk. It sure was fun, and the weather was so beautiful.

(Thank you for all the comments on my previous post! I had no idea that many people looked at my blog! Thanks guys!)

4.21.2010

We were playing with bubbles today and a bubble popped on my camera lens (I didn't realize until we got home) so these pictures are a little fuzzy on the right side, where the bubble was. haha. Oh well.

T is so close to being able to climb up the stairs and go down the slide by himself, but he can't quite figure out what to do at the top. He does some crazy splits and always asks for "ep!" (help)

Taylor can do the slide all by herself though, and T is so proud of her he claps and cheers every time she gets up and goes down. It's pretty cute.

We also made cookies today. We do ASL baby signing with T, and he made the sign for cookie like every 30 seconds the whole time we were making cookies. Here he is doing the sign for cookie...

While I was sticking a batch in the oven I heard T say..."ummmm" and I turned around to see what was so tasty and he had a mouthful of cookie dough! (I know you're dying right now mom...) I told him it was yucky and tried taking it away, but he's no dummy, he knows it's good! He had a major melt down so I gave him a spoon with some on it, and when it was gone he didn't care.

4.20.2010

This morning I finally finished sewing this tie I started making for my friend that had her baby like 2 months ago...ha.
T thought it looked so funny on his dog Rocco, and was upset when I told him we were giving it to baby Abram. I might have to make Rocco and tie next.

We used up a whole bottle of bubbles today. Boy we had so much fun!

The last couple nights as I've been making dinner, T has climbed into this cupboard and closed the door. A few seconds later, he'll swing the door open and say, "boo!" I get scared and jump and he thinks it's absolutely hilarious, so he does it like 50 times. (Course I get really scared every single time...!)

Today we made ice cream.

Yummmm!

4.18.2010

Today it was cold outside, but that didn't stop us from going on a walk and playing at the Elementary School playground by our house.

warming up by the heater when we got home...

4.17.2010

We took T to his first movie in the theater today! We went to How to Train a Dragon. I was totally not expecting him to sit through the whole thing. (Which he didn't...) But he did so well, waaaaay better then I thought he would! He sat through about an hour and then started to get restless, so we just let him walk up and down the stairs to the side of all the seats (There was hardly anyone there, and the people that were there, were with young kids). So Sam and I got to see the whole thing. We liked it a lot.

T looked so old with his popcorn, watching the screen. He was totally laughing in all the right places. He looked so cute, that I tried to take a picture of him, but apparently I was being annoying and was in his way, because in this picture he's like "move mom! I can't see!"

4.16.2010

T didn't take his nap today (I tried, he just had no interest). So at about 5pm he passed out in Sam's arms while they were watching Sports Center. I didn't want to officially put him to bed at 5pm, so we just let him sleep on the couch until about 7, when I slipped his PJ's on him and put him to bed.

(He didn't even wake up this morning until 7am, he was one tired boy!)

4.14.2010

Sam usually takes the bus to school, but this morning we gave him a ride on our way to the grocery store. T noticed dad wearing his backpack and he didn't want to leave the house without his backpack too. I had to take a picture of these two walking down the stairs to the car, they looked so adorable.

4.13.2010

T sure loves the egg shaped sidewalk chalk he got from his grandma & grandpa for Easter.

4.12.2010

We had such a fun day today!
We went to Barns & Noble, but we got there 10 minutes before they opened so we went to get doughnuts and watch the fish to kill a little time.

At Barns & Noble, T was the only kid there (usually there are a bunch of older kids there and T gets intimidated and doesn't really play much) so he was loving having the trains all to himself.

Tonight, we went to Sam's softball game where we watched him pitch the whole game and score a home run!! (his team was up 15 runs at a half hour..usually the games are an hour...so they called the game!) Way to go Sammy!

(Happy Birthday sis!! Wish we could've seen you today!)
