so busy!
Since we've moved, I've been too busy to get on the computer. I think it's because I have a bigger house to keep clean, so when the kids are napping I don't have free time to go play on the computer like I used to. It's been a big adjustment moving from our tiny apartment to a nice spacious home. It's a lot more work, and harder to keep track of the kids, but I'm loving it. We're still trying to get used to things like garbage day. ha. I'm so used to hauling our garbage down the the dump whenever I want to. I love having a disposal, but I still find myself throwing our leftover food in the trash, just out of habit. One thing I never forget about is our laundry room! I love having a washer/dryer so much! I still get excited to throw a load of laundry in whenever I want to, and not have to round up enough quarters and run downstairs, outside, around the building just to do a load. It's great! And I love our king size bed. After sleeping in a queen for 2 years, we don't even know what to do with all the space of a king. T has been climbing in bed with us in the middle of the night since we moved here, and we usually don't even notice him there until the morning! ha ha! We use our pool everyday. I still feel like we're on vacation every time we hang out by or in the pool. It's so nice. We're trying to get used to Sam being gone a lot more. We didn't realize how good we had it during school, and I find myself looking forward to the weekends a lot more now then I did while he was in school. It was so nice to have him all day Saturday & Sunday. I've pretty much mastered using just one hand for everything, as I'm generally holding little sis all day long. ha ha. Seriously this girl does not like to be put down. I know what you're thinking....just don't hold her all day, and she'll get used to not being held, but you don't understand the scream this girl produces when she's not happy. It's amazing that such a little girl can produce screams like she does. Really. She's a total drama queen. But when she's being held or mommy's real close, she's the happiest baby around. She's eating everything now which is fun and easier for me. I just cut things in small pieces and she likes everything she's tried so far.

Here are some pictures of the last week.

A few days ago, I gave T a cracker and Ollie was bugging him, trying to get it, so T ran to his stool and held his hand up high and said, "not for you doggies!" ha ha ha. Smart kid.

Nap time for T has been a struggle lately, but he still needs a nap or he gets super fussy around 3pm. He knows if he comes out of his room the first time I put him in there, that I'll lock the door the 2nd time so he never comes out, but I always go check on him after he's been quiet for a few minutes, and when I do, he's usually asleep, but I've found him in some pretty interesting spots around his room....rarely in his bed. Sometimes half on his bed. ha ha.

The grocery store by our house has a mechanical horse for kids that costs a penny! ONE CENT! T gets to ride every time we go to the store, usually multiple times if I have the pennies. I hold on to all my pennies now. ha ha.

anyway, little sis is waking up. Gotta go :) Sorry it's taken me so long to update.

Winsty & Ollie got showers today. T loved it & did most all the work :) I sat back, held Maizie and took pictures.

(I couldn't find our dog shampoo, not sure it made the move, or if we even had any. So we used johnson & johnson's baby shampoo, and I'm totally loving the way they smell now. Me, T & Ollie snuggled on the couch and watched the disney channel during little sis's nap. It was nice :) )

PS how do you like T's new buzz?? ha ha. Poor kid got some crazy hair and it just goes crazy when it's long so he kinda needs to keep it short. I love it though. He likes it too. He keeps saying, "I have hair like dad. I'm a boy like dad. Maizie girl and mom are girls. Only girls have long hair! And only girls paint their toe nails....." etc. ha. ha. funny kid.

zoo today!

We saw a 3 week old baby elephant. I'm not one to get all emotional over baby animals but I'm telling you, this little dude was so adorable. I could've watched him run around, following his mommy all day. It was so cute.

6.21.2011

I had to grab my phone and take a picture of T this morning eating breakfast. ha. What a stud. He wore his sweet shades the whole meal through. ha ha.

We had a fun day today! The girls in our ward came over for playgroup, our first pool party! I was so happy to see our pool filled up with little swimmers, and I'm really excited about this ward. It's a fun group of girls and they're all really close. They have a book club, weekly playgroup, a monthly girls night and someone has been sending me emails every Monday of all her plans that whole week (zoo, movies) in case I feel like joining in any of their activities. How nice? Boy, they've made moving to a new state really easy on me.

Next Wednesday night the young women are coming over to swim. I'm so glad people are using the pool! It was a lot of work to clean it up and make it swim ready so I'm thrilled to see people in it :)
(if you live by us, you have an open invitation to come anytime. Really!)

After naps, we had a picnic with the dogs in the front yard. T is learning the hard way that if he doesn't eat it quick, his food with get snatched up by one of the dogs. ha. Yesterday he had a whole sandwich taken out of his hand. He cried. I tried not to laugh :)

also, T is loving having the dogs back home with us. They're the 1st thing he talks about in the morning and the last thing he talks about before he goes to bed. I should count how many times he says, "where are my doggies?" in one day, it'd make you laugh. He wants to do everything with them now. "I want to eat with my doggies. I want to go outside with my doggies. I want to read with my doggies. I want to rest with my doggies." ha ha. This morning he was loving walking Winston. It was too cute. Glad he loves them so much.

Happy birthday to my mom!! I'm so happy that she's still here visiting us during her birthday! We had such a fun day celebrating with her.

We started out with going to the zoo. I'm so excited about the zoo here, (and so glad we got a family membership!) we had a great time. I'm thinking we'll be spending a lot of our days at the zoo.

After the zoo, we came home for naps and when the kids woke up we went swimming.

Course we finished the day off with some cake & ice cream.

Happy Birthday Baba! We love you & we're so lucky we got to have you on your birthday!!

6.12.2011

All the work we put into cleaning up the pool was worth it. She loved it. He loved it. The dogs loved it. We all had a blast. It's going to be a fun summer. I never imagined myself living in a home with a pool in the back yard, and I wasn't looking for one when we moved here, but I think we're going to love it. Come visit us!

6.11.2011

We've had an exciting couple of days! Sam was back in Utah all week last week, packing up our utah & vegas stuff to move to Ohio, and he flew in last night with our dogs! We haven't lived with them for the last 2 years, (Sam's parents were nice enough to take them while we were in NY) and we're loving having them back. T's the most excited about them. All he talks about now are "my doggies" ha ha.
The other exciting thing is that our swimming pool is now ready to swim in!! The previous renters didn't open the pool and apparently it hasn't been opened for 3 years, so there was a lot we had to do to get it good to go, (and my mom helped a lot! Thanks mom!!) But now it's ready to swim in so come visit us...and bring your swim suits!

The first ones to test out the pool....the dogs. ha ha.

After the kids went to bed, Sam and I gave it a go.

Winston & Oliver have already learned who to go to for food. ha ha.

We're waiting for the moving truck to get here in the next few days and then I'll post some pictures of our new house. We're loving it.
