11.30.2010

We're in Utah! We actually weren't planning on coming home this year for Christmas because I was so scared to take a newborn on the airplane with all the people and germs, but after both kids and I got sick in NY and my parents said "come home, we'll take care of you!!" I couldn't resist. Plus, they informed me that they rented a house in San Diego for the whole month of January and invited us to come, so course I couldn't resist that!! Also, I was dying to see my little brother who got home from his mission last week. Anyway, we're here and it's good to be here. We miss Sam, but he'll be here in about a week and a half, and he doesn't start school until the end of January so he's coming to San Diego too :)

So far, we've been busy spending lots of time with Uncle Cliff, it's so fun to have him home!! T already adores him and he's so cute with little sis.

T loves all the attention he's getting. I love this picture of him and my mom.

Maizie has been trying on my old baby clothes :)

She met Sam's grandma...

We haven't really gone anywhere, we're still trying to kick these darn colds :( But it's good to be here. T loves it. And I'm loving all the extra help :)

NY friends...I'm so sorry we left so suddenly, it was way last minute. Sorry we didn't say goodbye! We miss you!

I have so much to be thankful for. I won't bore everyone by making my whole list out on my blog, I don't even think that would be possible...but just today alone, I am especially thankful for my amazing husband and mother in law who cooked Thanksgiving dinner! All I did this year was pour the water. ha. seriously. Thank you so much Robyn and Sammy. I'm especially thankful for my 2 beautiful little kiddos. I'm so lucky to have them. My whole life basically revolves around them and I love it.

Today we had some friends over for Thanksgiving dinner. It was so fun to have a table full of people we love, chatting and eating good food. Thanksgiving is a great holiday! Again, thanks to Robyn and Sam for doing all the cooking.

T and Jordan eating pumpkin pie! Yummmmm.

I can't believe my baby girl is one month old today!! She had a dr. apt and she's shot up to the 90% in height and 50% for weight!

This month has totally cruised by! She is such a blessing and I can't imagine life without her.

My good friend Eliza had an idea for our friends to contribute to a blog that she started called POSHish. It's for us to post easy projects for people like us...who're on a budget :) Anyway, I made this bib today that I thought would be perfect for our blog. It's easy and cheap!

My poor, sick (but still super cute) little model...

Today we picked up Sam's mom from the airport! She's here for a whole week! T loves having his grandma in town and we are so excited that we get to spend Thanksgiving with her! She and Sam went to the Farmers Market today. T was napping when they left, but they brought him back an Apple Cider Doughnut and he was one happy guy!!

She brought all kinds of gifts for both our kiddos, and I was so surprised, she brought me something too! I love it so much, I had to show it off. It's a necklace of with our little familys' initials on it. I love it! (did I say that already?!) I'm never going to take it off :) Thanks Robyn!

T loves to sing. He sings all kinds of songs now, but the Happy Birthday song is probably his favorite. I love it. It's so cute. So, without further adieu, here's a movie of him singing "Hacky Birday."

PS Welcome home Cliff!! I wish I had a picture of you to post!! Can't wait to see you in person. Skype is fun, but it's just not the same :( Love You!!!

I could get used to this...
Ever since my mom left and our church friends stopped bringing meals by, Sam has been making dinner....every night! It's great! It's not your typical husband meal either (frozen pizzas, pancakes...) it's been really delicious, healthy meals. (He's so cute, he planned out a whole week of meals and went to the grocery store alone to get all the stuff!) It's really helped me while getting used to having 2 kids. Here's the chili he made for dinner Wednesday night. Yummmm!!

Thank you so much Sam! I really really appreciate it and I'm so lucky that you're my husband!!

Nothing too exciting going on around here, just a lot of loving our pretty baby girl...

And a lot of trying to keep ourselves entertained in our tiny apartment. (which I think we're actually doing pretty well. At least T doesn't seem too bummed out to be spending a lot more time at home lately)

I sure love this guy!!

Today my good friend Kristen had us over for lunch. It was so fun and good for us to get out of the house. Plus, the salad she made was totally delicious (no thanks to me, I just brought the bread!). Thank you Kristen!!

11.11.2010

Today was a big day for us!! First, sister had her 1st bath! (her umbilical cord fell off yesterday morning!) To say she loved it would be an understatement...the minute she felt the water on her body she totally relaxed and was so happy. She loved it so much, I kept her in there until the water started getting cold! I think she could've stayed in there all day! I got one of those tummy tubs for her, I totally wish I would've known about them when T was a baby. I remember a lot of crying and him being cold during his 1st few baths, I'm telling you, this tub is WAY better then those flat tubs that you fill up a few inches of water in and lay down across the kitchen sick.
(sorry for the poor picture taking, I was holding her up while taking a pictures...ha)

I asked T if her wanted to help me give sis a bath and he said, OKAY! And took off his clothes and got in the tub...ha, I guess he was a little confused what I was asking. But it was really cute because he kept looking at her over the side of the tub and saying..."hi sissa!"

Secondly...the weather was so beautiful today that I took both kids outside for a walk! It was my 1st time using the 2nd seat on our double stroller and I loved it! It was so nice to be out with my 2 kiddos enjoying the warm weather. I usually love winter...but could we please skip it this year and go right to spring? I'm already sick of the cold :(

I guess the excitement of going on a walk with sis was too much for T to handle...he zonked out on our walk, he hasn't done that in so long! ha!

11.10.2010

Today I took both kids to the doctor, for well checks. (T's 2 yr, and sis's 2 week...)
It was my 1st time out alone with both kids and I'm proud to say that we did okay!!
Here they are in the waiting room, looking so cute...

I'm so proud my 2 healthy kids!! Both are in the 50% for height and 25% for weight. T wasn't a happy camper at first, but when it was sisters turn and she joined him on the table, he thought maybe it wasn't so bad :)

Both were so brave and checked out to be growing perfectly. I'm such a lucky mom!
Both kiddos fell asleep on the way home... :)
I stuck T in his bed and he's still sleeping! I had to snap this picture of little sis because I love how her hat is covering her eyes, and her binky takes up half her face...hehe. Too cute.

Thanks for coming over to play today Tale and Kehau!

We both loved (and needed!) some friend time.
We've been kinda stuck inside the last few weeks...waiting until sister is a little bigger and older to start venturing out..

11.8.2010

Today is my 1st day totally alone with the kids. My mom left Thursday, Sam doesn't have school Friday's, and then it was the weekend. So far, we're not only surviving, but I'm having a great time alone with my 2 kiddos. Who wouldn't though...check out how adorable they are!

Reading to sister :)

I love her crazy hair!!

11.7.2010

Today it was 30F outside so we had to get creative entertaining ourselves inside...

check out the tower that Sam built!

So fun!!
(thanks for buying all these paper towels for us while you were in town mom!!)

11.6.2010

This morning, T and I went on a walk to do a load of laundry and take the garbage down to the dumpster. He looked so dang cute when I got his warm clothes on that I grabbed the camera on our way out. He was busy collecting leaves, rocks, pine cones and sticks on our walk, and he was so proud of himself with the cool things he brought home.

11.5.2010

T is really anxious to help sister. He loves brushing her hair after we wash it, throws her dirty diapers away in the diaper genie, and he's always sticking her binky in her mouth.

He's also really good at sharing his toys with her. I often find her covered in toys and when I say, "wow, what does sister have?" He proudly says, "share sister."

I can already tell that these 2 are going to be good buddies...like brother, like sister.
