2.25.2011

Today we woke up to like a foot of new snow, so we decided it was a "stay at home" day. In order to pass the time, we made star shaped crayons. So fun!!
(I still remember making these when I was a kid)

First, we peeled all the paper off our crayons, and divided them into our star silicone baking pan...

Baked them in the oven at 200F for about an hour...
and after they cooled, they popped right out of the baking pan and were ready to use!
(I couldn't wait for T to wake up from his nap to show him)

Let the coloring begin!!

(T is super possessive of these crayons. I don't know if he thinks they're just really cool...or he made them so he feels protective over them...? but we had to have a little chat about sharing and even after our chat he still only said he guessed I could use one of his crayons, while he got 5....little stinker. He's currently folding each one up in a paper towel and "hiding" them in his room. Where did he even learn that??) At least he likes them :)
