Happy Birthday Tale!
T's good friend turned 2 last week and today he had a Thomas the Train party to celebrate. It was so fun! There were balloons, cake, french fries (with ketchup...a must for T), oranges, basketball, yatzee, a puzzle, and even a pinata filled with candy...all of T's favorite things. When Kehau brought Tale's cake out T got super excited and of course thought it was for him and ran over to blow it out. ha. Good thing Tale beat him to it or T would've had his first most embarrassing moment. ha. 2 year old parties are really amusing. Anyway here are a few pictures. Happy Birthday Tale!!
Pretty Maizie....just hung out, slept and chilled the whole time, until she decided to have a huge blowout all over her & both me & Sam's clothes. She went home wearing Leila's jammies. Thanks Leila. (dumb me...I thought after her huge blowout this morning right before the party that she wouldn't have another one today...ha. I guess now I know better!)

T rode his bike all the way to one of our friend's house tonight. I hardly helped him at all! He had so much fun, and I was so proud.
The guys had a class tonight, so we got together to order pizza and let the kids play. It was really fun.
Also, I'm really proud of myself...I went to the grocery store today....with both kids! (Before today, I always left at least one of the kids home with Sam) We actually did okay! T was great and either drove the cart from the front where the car steering wheel is or helped me push. (He traded off...he couldn't decide which was more fun.) Anyway, I shouldn't have been avoiding it for so long. It really wasn't too bad!

Tonight I was getting ready to give T a bath, I realized I had to change sis's diaper and after I changed her, I came out of her room to see T sitting on the potty! He sat down all on his own and went potty! I was so surprised & excited & PROUD!!! I grabbed my camera and got a picture of him pouring his into the big toilet.
He was so thrilled with the reaction he got from us for going in his potty that he sat down and said, "again! again!" ha. Guess he's closer to potty training then I thought! Way to go little dude! I'm so proud of you!

This morning I got in the car to go pick up our accumulated mail from the post office and saw this...
I just had to laugh. Really? -10F? ha. ha. The cold temps didn't get T though, he loved stomping around in the snow.
Maizie has been sucking her thumb a lot lately. I think it's pretty cute. Poor girl was destined to find it eventually, both Sam and I sucked ours and T does too. ha.
(I need to bring out our Nikon, these phone pictures are so bad!)

We made it back to NY today. T was so helpful and took his own suitcase. He loved it, it was adorable. He actually followed us really well, he made it easy for us to let him walk & not sit in the stroller. I was proud of him.
When we got here, it was 1F, the high today was 7F. Snap back to reality :)

We blessed our little Maizie tonight. We had a small group and did it at Sam's parent's house. It was so intimate and special. Sam of course did a fantastic job. I'm so glad my mom held onto the dress that I was blessed in because Maizie wore my blessing dress...

Thank you Gene & Robyn for having it at your home! (We missed my parents, they're still in San Diego. Sorry we had to do it without you mom & dad...)
We are so blessed to have Maizie in our family. She is so sweet! She is the best baby ever. She is such a happy baby & she smiles all the time, she especially loves watching her big brother. For the past week or so, she's been sleeping 8+ hr stretches at night (cross your fingers it continues!). I can't imagine life without my little girl...we love you so much Maizie!!

On a side note: This morning as I was blow drying my hair, the kids were sitting on the bed watching cartoons and T yelled in to me: "sissa went poop!!" ha ha, and he was right, she did :)

Sam and I played golf with my Grandma today at her club. It was way fun. I totally love golfing even though I'm way bad.
Later, my mom and I took the kids to see the San Diego Temple. T really enjoyed seeing "Jesus's house." It was pretty cute.
He thought the lights were drums :)

I got new glasses today (I'm so excited about them! I can't wait until they're ready for me to pick up!!) T was so cute at the glasses store. He tried on a bunch of glasses and he told me which ones he liked the best. Ha!

Disneyland!!
wow, we had so much fun! It's only 1 1/2 hr drive from where we're staying in San Diego, I'm so glad we decided to go. It was perfect weather, and we hardly had to wait in any lines! This morning when I was showing T pictures of our day yesterday, he said, "again! go again!"
The teacups were T's favorite ride. We went on them 3 times! He saw other kids holding their hands up and thought that it looked like fun. haha. He totally did this on his own. Sam & I were laughing so hard.
We stayed at Disneyland all day! We got there right when they opened and didn't leave until after dark. We had so much fun!
You know you've had a successful day at Disneyland when your kid falls asleep on the bus ride back to your car :)
