Today we went to a nearby town for their annual Winter Festival. It was freezing cold. 3 degrees F to be exact. But the cold didn't seem to bother T at all. Look at this happy guy!
The main attraction was the polar bear plunge, where people volunteered to jump into the freezing cold lake, wearing just their swimming suit! Like 20 people did it! They're nuts! There were like ambulances and rescue divers on hand. Ha. Who would do that?? We were too cold to even be outside, all bundled up, let alone jump in the water!
But of course couldn't leave without stopping for hot chocolate and doughnuts at the bakery. T was so happy, he hadn't had a doughnut in a way long time, and he absolutely loves doughnuts.

Today we played with Moon Sand. For those of you who don't know what Moon Sand, it's extremely cool stuff. I was expecting a huge mess, but T is such a clean kid that it wasn't messy at all. We had tons of fun.
(I got this bag of moon sand for my 2nd grade class, back in the day when I was teaching. (We were going to build Statute of Liberty's with it.) But I never ended up bringing it out and I was pregnant when I packed it to Las Vegas, thinking, hey my kid will soon be old enough to play with it. Well, T was too young to play with it in Vegas, but again I packed it away to move here and today's the day I decided to finally bring it out. T loved it. I'm so happy I've held on to it for all these years!)
Also, since our husbands had a seminar tonight, the girls came over to our place for some dinner. I made Jess's chicken & broccoli lasagna and the kids had a ton of fun.
(T's a total pro with using utensils now)
(I'm dying at how much that last picture of T looks like me when I was his age. Everyone, I mean everyone always makes remarks about how much he looks like Sam, but seriously, this picture is totally me.....what do you think Steph and mom?)

Because T had his 15 mo well check this morning, and had to get 3 shots, I felt so bad for him that he got spoiled all day.
It all started at the grocery store when he wanted a balloon at check-out. (he always wants a balloon in the check-out line, but we usually say "bye bye balloon" and go on our way) But today we got one.
Then I brought out T's new ball popper toy (that my Henderson friends introduced me to) and let me tell you what, this is a great toy. He totally loved it. It provided a lot of entertainment today. He'd say "ba" (ball) and run around rounding up all the balls as they'd pop out of the popper. ha. So fun!
Then, I put everything on the ground and we made cookies....and ate cookies. T loves to cook. Whenever I'm making something up on the counter, he yanks at my pants and say's "up, up, up" until I pick him up to help.
(His appointment went great! He's in the 63rd percentile for height, 31st for weight and 90th for head circumference. His Dr. was so impressed with all of his words and signing, and said he looked "perfect")

My good friend, Mary, made this cute chalkboard for T. He totally loves it! He was busy coloring forever today. Looks like we've got a little artist on our hands.
Before today, we weren't sure what hand he was going to favor, but I learned that he would only color with his right hand. I'd try putting the chalk in his left, and he'd always switch it over to his right before coloring. (Sorry Dad & Steph)
Thanks again Mary!

T and his best friend both started walking really well during the break. It's a lot harder to get good a picture of them now...little stinkers. This is what they were doing as I was saying "smile!" haha.
PS T really enjoys wearing no clothes. can you tell from the last 3 pictures that I've posted of him?! Sometimes he tugs at his clothes to get them off. HA. I usually let him run around naked at home....why not?

Today we went to Provo to hang out with one of my best friends Shannon and her 2 girls. We went to Story Time at the library, to lunch and to the Bean Museum. Here's the 3 munchkins at the library, waiting patiently for story time to begin.
Check out T's pretty shoes. I guess this is what happens when you hang out with girls. Kate insisted that T try on some of Janes shoes. HA!
Thanks for the fun day, Shans Kate and Jane! We love you!

Surprise...Surprise...
we went to the park again today.
(T, hanging out with his Great Grandma Kay)
I'm bummed that I didn't have my camera with me tonight, my cousin Kristen and her boyfriend Josh drove up from Irvine to visit. We went to the pool and out to dinner with our Grandma. I loved seeing her, it was great!

Going out to dinner is a lot more exciting with a kid in our lives then it ever was without one.
When we go out to dinner with T, in my purse I pack: a sippy cup, a bib, food, a spoon, more food in case he doesn't feel like eating the food I planned on him eating, a book (sometimes 2), toys, crackers, diapers, wipes, and last but surely not least, the item we never leave home without...his blankie (a must needed item if a meltdown should occur). Like I said, going out to eat with T is a lot more exciting then it is without him. When Sam and I do go out alone, I feel totally wierd without my huge purse filled with activities for T.
